Edamame Soy Bean Bush Organically Grown 20 seeds in UNDERWOOD, Queensland for sale

Edamame are immature green soy beans that are traditionally steamed or boiled in their pods, seasoned with salt and eaten as a delicious and nutritious snack. Edamame is especially popular as an entree in Japanese cuisine. Eaten fresh, edamame is high in protein and fiber.
Soy beans are relatively easy to grow. While they have a high nitrogen need, they can be grown in poor soils if the seeds are inoculated with Rhizobium bacteria prior to sowing. Rhizoba enables the plants to obtain nitrogen directly from the air. The alternative is to use a nitrogen rich fertiliser like poultry manure.
Soy beans are usually grown during the warmer months. Expect to start harvesting beans in about 4 months from sowing. Each plant is capable of producing a very heavy crop over several weeks. For the best tasting edamame, pods are best picked when the beans inside are still green and ovaloid in shape - unlike the dried round yellow ones you see in the main photo.
These are new season seeds that I've grown in my backyard using only organic methods ie. no pesticides or industrial fertilisers.
